Has A Special Calling On Her Life.
She Has Impacted The Lives Of Many
Saints With Her God
Given Gift Of Healing And Her Ability
To Efficaciously Expound The
Word Of God For The Perfecting Of The Saints;
Because Of The Anointing Which Overshadows Her
Life,
And Permeates The Hearts Of Many, God's People
Have Witnessed Many Breakthroughs And
Deliverances!
The Anointed Evangelist Elvie J. Owens, Better & Affectionately
Known As "Sis. Road Runner" Within
The D. A. Reed District Of The First Jurisdiction Of Illinois,
Is Truly Blessed And Highly Favored!
Evangelist Elvie Owens Was Given This Affectionate Title
By
The Ex-Supt. Harris Of The D. A. Reed District By Virtue
Of The Fact That She Is Generally In Attendance At Most
Of The District And State Functions Within
The First Jurisdiction Of Illinois.
Considering The Fact That She Is Well Over A Half Of A
Century Plus Some Decades Young, Her Ability To Get Around Town
So Graciously, Either With Or Without Her Walking Cane,
Is A Major Feat In And Of Itself!
She Is The Widow Of The Late Bishop Christopher C. Owens,
Who Was The Founder Of The Emanuel C. O. G.
I. C. And The
Religious Workers Guild, Inc.

is an anointed and blessed
woman of God, who has,
after numerous illnesses,
displayed that God's
grace and mercy is still available to those
who possess
unfailing faith and trust in His word.
Our founder's wife has sought the
face of God,
has received God's favor, and is most assuredly
on the battlefield for the
Lord. For every setback
of illness which satan has cast her way,
including
cancer, a stroke, three battles with
pneumonia, and a great fall
rendering
her unconscious, the Lord has granted
Evangelist Owens
the anointing, the healing,
the fresh fire, and
the propensity
with which to bounce back.
Surely her love for God, her consecrated life,
and inner strength and peace has not only
delivered her from the clutches
and strongholds
of the enemy, but has also impacted others to
grab hold of increased
faith and God's
manifest glory.

What satan
meant for bad, God turned it around
for His
own glory. God said to Mother Owens to
throw
all caution to the wind and be healed
from all
manner of diseases! The Eclipse has passed:
Her
sicknesses, her husband's sudden death
(The Late
Bishop C. C. Owens), her transition to
becoming
a widow and single parent - God is
yet
blessing her to move forward in the vineyard!
Yes, God
Almighty has an even greater work
for
her to accomplish in His Holy Vineyard, because
she has
been obedient to His voice and a living
flame
longing for the presence of the Lord!
God has
chosen this vessel and blessed her
with
special attributes, especially the gift of
spiritual
discernment and healing, and has well
prepared
her for battle shod with her helmet
of
salvation and breast plate of righteousness.
With her
spiritual renewal, commitment, and anointing,
it is
inevitable that she will assume a major
role in
demonstrating the miraculous power
of God to
the Emanuel membership and community
and
subsequently serve as an incentive for God's
people to
consecrate themselves and gird up
their
loins in preparation for making the transition
from just
being aware of God's worthiness to a
position
of being seized by a driving desire to
dive
deeper into His presence and lead others into His manifest glory.
As
recently as March 10, 2011, mother Owens had a slight
heart
attack and was hospitalized for a few days; She is
rapidly recuperating, moving about, and going to and fro.
God is
yet manifesting His glory in her life. God, only you
are
Holy, and you will bless her to completely recover.
We take
this opportunity to honor our Founder's
Wife,
noble in character and unselfish in
demonstrating acts of love, faith and trust.
Evangelist Owens, may heaven smile on you
and give
you inner peace and strengthen you as you go forth!
