it

The First Setting of The Greater Illinois
Fellowship
Holy Convocation
convened
July 31, 2003 -
August 2, 2003.
This
anointed meeting was held at the
Ark Of The New Covenant Training
Center Church of God in Christ, 1101 W. State
Street
in
Rockford, Illinois where the
late Dr. Isaac T. Bailey was Pastor and
Founder.
Special Announcement:
We regret the passing
of the Greater Illinois
Fellowship's 1st
Administrative
Assistant: Dr. Isaac T.
Bailey, Sr.
Dr. Bailey expired on
Wednesday night, July 30, 2003.
The Greater Illinois Fellowship
came
together
in prayer and with united hearts worshiping
and glorifying God with great fervor.
The
Theme of the Holy Convocation was "Stand
Still And See The Salvation Of The Lord.
Exalt
God, Don't Move Until You See A
Breakthrough."
Bishop
Owens brought forth a
dynamic message
with great urgency entitled "Offer
Praise & Worship, Exercise
Prayer &
Faith, And Give
Vent
To The Holy Ghost".
He expressed that
God
has made provisions
for our visions and decisions, and through
faith in the Holy Ghost, we are expecting
God
to catapult these visions
into
existence.

(Pictured left to right: Msny. Bailey, Evang. Elvie J. Owens,
Supervisor Jurilean Bailey, & Overseer - Bishop C. C. Owens)
This is a time for revival and renewal;
this is not the time for us to be afraid
or timid and insecure concerning God's
calling
on our lives and our respective
ministries. We
pray that the Lord will
dispatch His angels to
encamp around us
to preserve us as we shake
up strongholds
of hindrances. We pray
that the
captain of the Lord of hosts will manifest
himself and serve as our covering as we
embark upon
the task of crumbling our
walls of Jericho with a
shout.
Through prayer, faith and the Holy Ghost,
we
will elevate to higher ground as the
Lord orders
our steps to possess God's
gift of increased
territory.
He encouraged us to call on the name
of Jesus to transform us and allow us
to be armed,
courageous and dangerous
with God's word and
our commission.

And The Saints Had A High Time
In The Lord!

Supervisor
Jurilean Bailey
is a strong and
courageous vessel of
God; in spite of the fact
that her husband, Dr.
Isaac T. Bailey (who
was
the 1st Administrative
Assistant of The Greater
Illinois
Fellowship)
expired on Wednesday night July 30, 2003,
Supervisor Jurilean Bailey brought forth
a blessed word of faith; She expressed
that we know how to pray and if we would
exercise our faith
through
prayer
and
praise, satan will have
no opportunity to stop
the move of
God.
She has a great anointing
on her life
and
is
dedicated to accepting the challenge
to walk under God's
anointed umbrella
and she is standing ready and submissive
to the will of God.
The
Greater Illinois
Fellowship
is expecting a
breakthrough;
We're standing in the gap and
removing
strongholds and entrapments of bondage
which satan has designed to sift the Saints.
Supervisor Bailey's message on prayer
and praise was awesome and inspiring;
She expounded that prayer and praise will
set us free and render us victorious;
She
proclaimed that it was God who gave her the
strength and the anointing to stand before us,
and that she knew that she was carrying out
the expressed desires of her deceased husband;
May God ever bless Sis. Bailey and her
loved ones; We, the members of The
Greater
Illinois Fellowship, are blessed and highly
favored,
and have realized that no weapon formed
against God's people shall prosper.
The Greater Illinois Fellowship represented an
important
historical stage in the lives of
both The Late
Bishop Christopher C. Owens,
as well as Supervisor
Jurlean Bailey!
Bishop Christopher C. Owens departed this
life on Thursday morning, November 6, 2003;
After his departure to be with the Lord, the
Emanuel C. O. G. I. C., whose current pastor
is Elder Michael Richardson (the nephew of
the Late Bishop C. C. Owens), and its sister church,
The Ark of The New Covenant C. O. G. I. C.
whose current pastor is Elder Isaac Bailey, Jr.,
decided to join The First Illinois
Jurisdiction where the Bishop Ocie Booker is the Presiding Bishop.

Pictured above are two strong and dedicated
vessels of God: Left--Evang. Elvie J. Owens
(widow of The Late Bishop Christopher C.
Owens, Sr.) and Right--Evang. Jurlean Bailey
(widow of The Late Dr. Isaac T. Bailey, Sr.)
And since we are about to embark upon a new
era for Sis J. Bailey: {The Anticipated Marriage Of
Evang. Jurlean Bailey To Mr. Thromentta
Anderson}, I thought that it would be a nice gesture to
insert a clipping of the 60th Wedding
Anniversary of The Late Bishop C. Owens and Mrs. Elvie J. Owens:
IN THE SPIRIT OF MARRIAGE AND ONENESS

very happy about the marriage of his mother and the inheritance of a new father;
He confessed that he was a
